Shipping Schedule for the Holidays

Christmas: The Christmas holiday (December 25th) may disrupt the timing of shipments from YBP causing some to depart earlier or later than is typical. Most U.S. carriers will be operating on a limited basis (or not at all) on Friday, December 24th, which will likely lengthen the time in transit.

New Year's Day (January 1st): Friday, December 31st is a holiday for most U.S. carriers, which will likely lengthen the time in transit.

YBP & EBL Team to Launch Integrated Demand-Driven Acquisitions Service

YBP and EBL are pleased to announce the launch of a Demand-Driven Acquisitions (DDA) service. This digital content service was launched in early November and a print DDA service will be phased in the near future.

Participating libraries are able to utilize digital and print profiles to designate subject areas for inclusion in their demand-driven plan. YBP supplies matching cataloging records on a weekly basis in order to build a database of titles. Each digital record can be found in the library's catalog and has a URL embedded that directs you to our aggregator partner's library portal where options for free browsing, short-term loans and purchases are available. This new service will be made available to all YBP customers in the coming weeks.

For more information contact your YBP representative, or send an e-mail to sales@ybp.com.

OP Choice: Enhanced Out-of-Print (OP) Book Service

OP Choice, YBP's enhanced out-of-print book service gives librarians just that…Choice. Customers define their OP book search parameters for price, edition, imprint, format and condition. Customers also have the choice of combining cataloging and physical processing with their OP book purchases. YBP is working closely with Alibris, the leading supplier of hard-to-find titles, to supply libraries with their books of choice. YBP manages the Customer OP Profile and technical service specifications and Alibris searches their network of 14,000 booksellers in 35 countries with access to over 100 million books including non-U.S. imprints.

For more information contact your YBP representative, or send an e-mail to sales@ybp.com.
